“Thank you all so much for a really wonderful evening on Saturday. You all played brilliantly and everyone commented on what an excellent band you were. Hannah Bright, your caller was also superb. Thank you for being so helpful and friendly in your emails in the run up to the barn dance too which was really reassuring. We will definitely be recommending you to our friends!”
“What a great evening! Everyone I spoke to had a great time last night and really enjoyed the social, friendly feel to the event as well as the dancing.” ~ “Really great to dance to. Really liked the music – a great mix of the familiar and out of the ordinary!”
Great caller: enthusiastic and easy to follow ~ explains everything before each dance!
Interesting instruments and varied sound: melodeon / concertina ~ pipe and tabor / hurdy gurdy / rauschpfeife ~ bass and Bb clarinets / keyboard or guitar!
We play mostly traditional English music while drawing from other influences such as Medieval, Renaissance, French, Scottish and Irish. Our eclectic range of music dates from 14th century to the 21st with a few self penned tunes thrown in!
The only requirement for any tune we play is that whoever is listening to us will want to dance. We are all dancers ourselves and we know just how important it is to make our music very danceable!
If you book us, we will include a great caller who will best suit your event. We provide our own high quality PA as well. The caller will make your celebration / dance go with a swing, enthusiastically explaining what to do before and during each dance.
